Suntec REIT is a Singapore-based unit trust established to own and invest in quality income-generating real estate which is primarily used for retail and/or office purposes. It was listed on the 9th of December 2004 with initial investments in the Properties comprising Suntec City Mall and Suntec City Office Towers, which form part of the integrated commercial development known as "Suntec City". Suntec REIT subsequently acquired Park Mall and Chijmes in October 2005 and December 2005 respectively, in October 2007 acquired a one - third interest in One Raffles Quay and in September 2009 it acquired a 20% interest in Suntec Singapore International Conversition & Exhibition Centre. As at 31 December 2009, Suntec REIT has S$5.2 billion of assets under management, comprising approximately 1.9 million sq ft of office space and 1.0 million sq ft of retail space.
